Hang around emergents, which is also what I do as part of my work. The truth is that in my case there's not any distinct line between "for work" and "for play."
What do you see as some of the biggest challenges facing Anglicans today?
Seriously? Too much attention to problems, probabilities, and challenges combined with not enough attention to just being the kingdom's body in whatever small part of life and time we are assigned to.
What do you see as some of the biggest opportunities for Anglicans today?
The era is rolling over right smack in front of us. These are the times for praying [as in a two-way communication] and rejoicing and enromous self-restraint and discipline, lest we blow it.
What do you want Anglimergent to be? and what other Anglimergent resources, gatherings, activities or events would you find helpful for your ministry?

Check out the thread "Practising Anglimergent Generosity & Hospitality in an Anglican Church hit by division" - I mentioned "The Great Emergence" as a helpful tool.
Phyllis-
Don't know if you remember me! I am from Memphis, the daughter of Jack & Lydia Abell and a friend of your daughter Rebecca. I also had three poems in that poetry anthology from Memphis City School kids you put together in the early 80's.

I am excited that you will be here (Chicago) for our fall clergy conference. I'm int he discernment processs but work @ the Diocese so I'm going to try and wiggle my way in.
Grace & peace to you and I hope this finds you well.
Just wanted to thank you again for introducing me here... I have reconnected with a divinity school friend and am feeling a sense of new possibilities as I learn what others are engaged in.
Blessings,
Nurya
