What you do for fun and re-creation?
I enjoy reading theology and to some extent history. When I am really stressed out I read Susan Howatch novels over and over again. I like to cook and have other people wash the dishes.
What do you see as some of the biggest challenges facing Anglicans today?
Everyone, right, left and center has their idols. In our particular context the greatest challenges are keeping Jesus as the 'endo skeleton" while having the flexibility to engage, learn from, teach and witness Christ's love in a radically pluralistic environment. I'm speaking here of my particular parish and neo-monastic community. In terms of the sexuality debate I think that God has allowed it to go on for so long because he wants us to learn something new and life giving about holiness and grace.
What do you see as some of the biggest opportunities for Anglicans today?
In so far as, by God's grace we do the above, then I believe God in Jesus Chirst will work through us and the rest of his body the church to reconcile the world to himself. I could get more specific then that but I've learned the hard way that the Holy Spirit is very unpredictable!
What do you want Anglimergent to be? and what other Anglimergent resources, gatherings, activities or events would you find helpful for your ministry?
I would love to see some sort of gathering in Province 1
