I sit here on Pentecost evening....tired.....similar to the Holy Week-Easter tired. Our U2charist Pentecost Vigil is over, The Bishop has made his visitation and confirmed his candidates and is gone home, the congregation ate its cake from 12 different plates representing each month for the Churches birthday. These are liturgical highs for me....but then comes the liturgical downs.....I am a bit tired, wondering if we had a decent attendance or not, did it go well for us, was there enough ¨Spirit¨ in it all? Ordinary time means going back to the regular routine of life. But our world is never in an ordinary routine. How do we regain our strength after all that praying? What do you do when you get to that point?
PS My prayers for all of those dioceses going through transitions of Bishop elections. How I would love to chat with some about what the Episcopate should look like Now and Today! How do we move beyond the Middle Ages?
