On the 8th December 2008 a remarkable event took place in Coventry Cathedral. The Archbishop of Canterbury led a National Fresh Expressions Pilgrimage organised by a number of pioneering communities that included Moot, Visions, mayBE, Glorious, Blessed, Contemplative Fire and others in the UK. Over 600 people attended and hundreds were turned away before the event, as there was just so many people that were interested. The day was a huge success and evidence that it is possible to hold an 'Ancient Future' perspective within Anglican/Episcopal traditions. What is more, a number of those attending had come from traditionalist perspectives. Many of which talked of being able to reimagine what is possible through such events.
Following on from this, a new book is to go on sale, many of whom were practitioners from the day and from Anglimergent - including: Rowan Williams, Stephen Cottrell, Jonathan Clark, Richard Giles, Michael Volland, Ian Mobsby, Simon Rundell, Sue Wallace, Philip Rodderick, Tessa Holland - and also to include Brian McLaren, Karen Ward, Phyllis Tickle and others.. So it is going to be a great book - click
