Hello all,
I thought this might be the easiest way to connect with those of you who have already participated in Karen's conversation to let you know that as far as I understand, she will be the main presenter at the conference on September 26 pu...
Nurya, thanks for the post! Just a quick comment about the editorial:
Why do journalists have such a hard time understanding TEC's emphasis of the Baptismal Covenant? DO25 was clearly written to emphasize the Baptismal Covenant and the call to min...
I look forward to meeting you in Chicago. I'm glad you are getting to work with Anne. She is wonderful. Hope things are going well with your research. I look forward to reading it. If you have not read it, Chris Spinks has a good book on some of the same issues you are looking at.
So, has your schedule calmed down since Christmas is over? What is your life like? I don't think I have your number... how can I reach you to figure out when we can do this?
Ok, I am back from the great emergence! Thank you for encouraging me to go to the event, it was a great experience.
I want to get together an anglimergent GR conversation in the new year... so far I have four couples and counting (that includes your family, my family, Chad Allen's family, and the Barons out of St. Andrew's). I think seeing each others faces, hearing stories, asking for prayer would be the only point (that and watching our kids run around). What's your life like after Christmas?
I met with Sue York today, and I think she is going to call you. They are looking at making their Wednesday night service a reality, and interested in altworship of some kind, but they don't know exactly what yet. I am going to be involved, but don't know exactly how either... I imagine it will emerge ;-)
My wife and I lived in Ludington in our family vacation home. I'm currently in school again, but would love to hear about the W. Mich. cohort and your experience with the TEC there.
I was really intrigued to read what you wrote Karen about your conversation with our archdeacon. I would love to be part of any followup that happens out of that. I was at the meeting when Phyllis Tickle presented on the emergent church and thought there was some good seed-sowing there.
