What you do for fun and re-creation?
tea, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Jennifer Kries pilates, blogorama, single malt scotch, east coast vagrancy, knitting, audiobooks, dragonflies, repurposing shoeboxes, gothy bits, DJing 80s music and current alternative, etc. etc. etc.
What do you see as some of the biggest challenges facing Anglicans today?
I think many folks who are alienated from the church might be craving an authentic experience of faith, and it's hard for those who are already well integrated within a faith community to build bridges to the hearts of the unchurched. They see the Anglican in-fighting and think it is a house divided, for instance, or remember events from their upbringing that don't relate to the church as we can experience in it today.
What do you see as some of the biggest opportunities for Anglicans today?
The internet is another channel for community-building that allow people to connect with people they might never have otherwise been able to meet. And, I love "practicing" my faith in unconventional places.
I am working on merging most of my blog content into Gallycat.com. Should be interesting; I have more than ten years of blog history (I blogged before there were blogs!) It includes some of my anti-religious rants from when I was an atheist, too.
