Mark thanks for you post, if everyone shared your spirit the church would be so much a better place. one of the reasons i remain determined to work with all branches of the church is this sense that we are family even when we don;t agree, actually s…

What do you see as some of the biggest challenges facing Anglicans today?
the shift from modernity to post-modernity which the church hasn't got it's head round. one of the consequences of this is a predicted (see Keppel te revenge of God for instance) rise in fundamentalism as some peopel in all religions seek security and resist change...this hapens to be why our church is fighting itself at present
What do you see as some of the biggest opportunities for Anglicans today?
well no-one has shaped the emerging cultural landscape...so we could...lets go for it

Hi Steve, I've actually managed to come up with a draft outline. Would you give it a quick once over to check that you think it looks like the kind of thing you'd corporately be interested in?

Thanks Steve. I'll see if I can make progress over the summer.

I'd love to give it a go: now we have a new dean starting in September, it might just give me a bit of time! Okay; how would we proceed from here?

hmmm. I'm half-minded to offer to write a Grove book on chaplaincy and emerging church. Reckon there'd be interest?

Hey Steve, can I pick your brain?
I'm trying to come up with books on chaplaincy, especially if they have some stuff on theologies of chaplaincy and even better if they make links with contextualisation and/or emerging church. Know any?

Greetings from New Zealand, how have you found the Anglimergent group?

Hi -
I was on that side TOO!! in the second row just near the keyboards.
Were you the person I gave the peace "sign" to during sharing the peace?? if so, small world again!
We're friends with Jacob and Jasmine so it was nice to hear them all singing. A cool service I thought!

Steve- responding to yours earlier ... how very odd not to have met for "real". We were at "the Shepherds" svc on Sunday at the Manc Cathedral - perhaps you were there too ... Saw Anne of course! This web-friendships is a bit surreal, but you're very welcome in Reno face to face!
be well,

Hi Steve,
yes I know Anne, we actually met her in the cathedral on our very first week here from the US - she might remember ... not much since then except from afar.
stay tuned (as we say) for a fringe event at Lambeth for Anglimergent - could be fun!

Hi Steve,
just saw you live in Manchester ... I'm here too! Over in Gorton. My spouse/partner is doing a PhD at Uni Manc (theology with Peter Scott), and I'm an inner city vicar with the team here.
Are we neighbors?
Saw you talking with Andrew Jones - Karen Ward suggested we take up his idea for a fringe event at Lambeth. Are you going to Lambeth?
what do you think?
peace, -- S
