Sally, Hello!
We met at Nadia Bolz Weber's birthday post roller skating extravaganza. You gave me and my beloved (Ratchet) the suggestion to go to that quirky italian joint in Estes Park, Co. Sweet Basillicos. WOW. Perfect suggestion, great meal and we had a blast, and I look forward to reciprocating a meal suggestion when you are in town for Christianity 21. So good to meet and hope you are well.

Hey Sally,

It's Beth - we met in Pittsburgh when you spoke at a retreat for Church of the Ascension! I hope you are well. We are no longer at Ascension - I'd love to talk with you! Take Care!

Hi Sally,
Stumbled onto this site a short time ago. I've attended one of your sessions sometime back and am excited that you will be in our conference in Jackson, TN in June.
I'm sure you've been aprised, but if I can answer any questions concerning our conference, I'd be happy too.
BTW, my mother was the first woman ordained in our conference. She's a true pioneer and I'm honored to follow her path.

Sally,

Thank you for stopping by. The great thing is that those small points are not by themselves. They are connected, they live in relationship with each other creating some even bigger than themselves - the Dream of God.

You have a standing invitation to rock Seattle with us anytime you are around.

Peace.

I like this combo of pastoral care for pastors, help seeing and dealing with the reality of church leading, and a re-emphasis on the pastor as theologian. We've spent so long being business leaders and organization technicians, we've forgotten that teaching people who God is, who we are, and how to live as God's people is our first task.

Bravo.

About five years ago I dreamed often about church planting (when I was more into the worship leading mindset) but I have now moved more toward the idea of "a different kind of training" for seminarians with an emphasis on 1) caring for hurting leaders, 2) teaching those who don't quite know what they are getting themselves into when the talk about "church ministry." I love theology and love pastoring and I believe the two have been polarized for much to long. The pastoring is in my blood, my dad's been a minister for 30 years. And the theology is sort of "my thing" that I have grown to love. I think the church should be the theologians but much teaching is learning is required of those who will lead the church into being a theological people.
