spending time with the family particularly watching TV, and drinking coffee in Starbucks in the beautiful city of Chichester
What do you see as some of the biggest challenges facing Anglicans today?
I've just read a quote from Henri Nouwen:
"I'm deeply convinced that the Christian leader of the future is called to be completely irrelevant and to stand in this world with nothing to offer but his or her vulnerable self." I like that, but parish ministry seems to fly in the face of it - that's the gap that scares and is the nakedness of the emperor and his new clothes...
What do you see as some of the biggest opportunities for Anglicans today?
Hands across time, ancient-future church possiblities. We can also offer grandparent/aunt church... if you can't talk to 'mum' and 'dad' then talk to us, use us.
What do you want Anglimergent to be? and what other Anglimergent resources, gatherings, activities or events would you find helpful for your ministry?
It's a VERY lonely place out here, rural England. Just to know I'm not going mad (by my self?). Also that this is a 'whole of church' thing, not just for youth, or 'fresh expressions band waggons'.
