What you do for fun and re-creation?
Walks with the dog, painting, crafts, hiking, dancing. Visiting with friends.
What do you see as some of the biggest challenges facing Anglicans today?
Re-sacralizing the reality of our Christian life by returning to what Jesus taught: Love, forgiveness, radical inclusion. Reinventing the church--not doing things the old way but being open to the new & exciting ways God is calling us. Helping people connect their practice with their faith. Helping people derive meaning in life. Being a voice against some of the insidious social values.
What do you see as some of the biggest opportunities for Anglicans today?
We have a rich heritage & we are wildly incarnational. If we can find a way to put that into practice in new ways & reenergize our congregations while reaching out to those who have been burned by organized religion, then we will go far.
What do you want Anglimergent to be? and what other Anglimergent resources, gatherings, activities or events would you find helpful for your ministry?
A discussion about what people are doing. How people are engaging young people and the arts. Local gatherings & discussions

Bob: I graduated from Seabury in '02, so obviously that is out as an option for you. I'm not sure what is going on with Garrett & Seabury--if they're working out some arrangement. You could probably take classes elsewhere & then do an Anglican "Dip" for your liturgy, etc. I have a friend who attended the Baptist Seminary for awhile & there are very good instructors at Garrett. Heidi Haverkamp who is the vicar at St. Benedict's Bolingbrook did much of her studies at UofC, so you might TT her. I had a difficult time at Seabury being a commuter. I loved the intellectual stimulation but it was difficult to feel part of the community. Seabury could do a better job of recognizing the whole person.

Have you done much work around the Emergent stuff here? I'm interested in that as the future of the church. Would love to TT U sometime. Let me know your #. My cell is 847 7075390.

Deb-
Where did you attend seminary? Do you have any particular recommendations in this area? Thanks in advance for your response.

Bob
