What do you see as some of the biggest challenges facing Anglicans today?

Seeing themselves as Christ's body - active and engaging today's world in all its possibilities and not reserving church as an historical phenomenon. Also, connecting with people musically at the congregational participation level. We musicians have often intimidated singers in the congregation and singers in the congregation have abdicated their need and role in singing the liturgy.

What do you see as some of the biggest opportunities for Anglicans today?

We've got a good "product" We're as committed as any other group of Christians, but we're hesitant to believe we can make a difference through the church.

Because we have a history of good music, we can foster a rebirth of people being confident enough in singing to make music - not for performance but because it's a way to connect with the numinous and the spiritual.

What do you want Anglimergent to be? and what other Anglimergent resources, gatherings, activities or events would you find helpful for your ministry?

I want it to be a place where I can encounter others who are not afraid to be guided by the Holy Spirit , history (tradition), innovation, and love of others.
