I am doing spiritual direction, retreats, and quiet days around the diocese of Chicago, and I love it.
Today is our parish Advent Quiet Day, using the Magnificat as our text.
I'm glad and hearted by the new monastic movement and its potential to be part of the saving grace of the Church again in our own age.

Also see our group "Friends of the Anglican Dominicans" o…
This is a group for those who are intentionally New Monastic Communities who are emerging and Anglican/Episcopal or are from churches who are in full covenant with Anglican/Episcopal provinces
Glad to see so many joining the group. It is important work, esp. as we seek to bring the wisdom of past generations of the faithful to our own day.

What do you see as some of the biggest challenges facing Anglicans today?
As the via media Anglicanism is perhaps best situated to reach out to the emerging culture. With our ability to hold paradox and to include the various streams of Christianity we make for a very "emergent" form of Christianity. However, we seem less interested in this opportunity and more interested in family squabbles and keeping the farm going, just to keep it going.
What do you see as some of the biggest opportunities for Anglicans today?
see above
What do you want Anglimergent to be? and what other Anglimergent resources, gatherings, activities or events would you find helpful for your ministry?
I don't know. Becky Garrison invited me, but blamed it on Karen Ward.
We'll see.

Kevin,
We corresponded a few months ago about your ideas for small parishes in
ND, I continue to be interested in how the Diocese of ND is going about these short term missions.
