What you do for fun and re-creation?
Ham Radio, reading (Theology, Celtic Christianity, non-fiction) spending vast amounts of time on the beach, listen to internet radio stations, play with the dogs (2 Shelties), hang out a church events. Exploring Emerging Church movement and ideas.
What do you see as some of the biggest challenges facing Anglicans today?
Living the Gospel in a way that invites those drawn to liturgy all the while avoiding idolatry of forms of worship. We need to engage the Scriptures much more seriously in study, worship and personal formation. It would be good also to move away from relying on our status of having moved away from ECUSA as a primary way we identify ourselves. We need to move much more in discovering who we are by identifying what we believe rather than what we reject.
What do you see as some of the biggest opportunities for Anglicans today?
There are many who are drawn to liturgy who come from backgrounds very mistrusting of it. They are drawn because the liturgical forms are metaphors and powerful symbols for the deeper experiences of faith. Anglicans have the opportunity to engage these people as they discover and we re-discover the power of these gifts.
What do you want Anglimergent to be? and what other Anglimergent resources, gatherings, activities or events would you find helpful for your ministry?
Right now I am just looking for expanding my community of believers with whom to dialogue and from whom to learn.
