What you do for fun and re-creation?
So many things, so little time! I have many diverse interests, but I love to read: Phil Rickman - about a female Anglican priest named Merrily Watkins; Peter Tremayne - about a 7th century Irish princess named Sister Fidelma, who is also in a religious order; Alice Hoffman; Joanne Harris; L.M. Montgomery; the list can go on and on! Oh, and I love children's literature :-)

I love traditional Scottish and Irish music - Dougie MacLean is my FAVE. I like country, folk (Mary Chapin Carpenter, Peter, Paul, & Mary, John Denver, to name a few), world music, children's stuff, some rock (Aerosmith and Tom Petty especially), and some hip hop/R&B. Depends on my mood.

I enjoy taking Alvie (my dog) out hiking into God's creation - so fun! She helps keep me fit, as I am also a committed Lifetime member of Weight Watchers. I also love spending time with my marvelous boyfriend, Marty!!
What do you see as some of the biggest challenges facing Anglicans today?
Forgetting our past and what we have come through over the centuries and in turn, losing what being Anglican really means.

Historically, our Church has gone through much worse divisions and catastrophes and we were still able to hold our fabulous Anglican middle way as we stayed together.
What do you see as some of the biggest opportunities for Anglicans today?
We are a Church that encourages thinking, creativity, and discussion with respectfulness. We don't check our brains in at the door and I think that can be very attractive to people, as well as giving the opportunity for the Holy Spirit to move through in remarkable, unexpected, dazzling ways.
What do you want Anglimergent to be? and what other Anglimergent resources, gatherings, activities or events would you find helpful for your ministry?
A community of discussion and support in helping one another further our own relationship with God, as well as giving resources to help the people we serve delve deeper into their relationship with God.

I am looking for ideas that help us reach people outside of the box they think of as "church" and "God". Unusual prayer practices and liturgies that meet people where their at. Anything funky that enriches worship!
