What you do for fun and re-creation?
Spending time with my spouse and children, cooking and meals with friends and family, walking on the beach, reading Theology and good books, movies, listening to music and playing the guitar while singing badly!, a good drop of Aussie red wine and, last but not least, watching Australian Rules Football.
What do you see as some of the biggest challenges facing Anglicans today?
Unity in diversity.
What do you see as some of the biggest opportunities for Anglicans today?
Building on a creative, deeply reflective and life giving tradtition. For all our faults we Anglicans have something 'unique' to offer.
What do you want Anglimergent to be? and what other Anglimergent resources, gatherings, activities or events would you find helpful for your ministry?
I would like it to be a forum for exchanging thoughts and ideas; and a venue for reflecting on the 'emergent' church in an Anglican context.

Preparing for Advent in the connecT community - Adelaide, South Australia

Hi all.

Another Advent theme we will be exploring at connecT is the second coming of Jesus. This is a tough one, isn't it? It's part of the faith and so I accept it. But how long are we supposed to wait or have I missed something?

'Look! He is coming with the clouds; every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and on his account all the tribes of the earth will wail' (Rev 1:7)

Yes, Chris - Bill is my Dad. He actually left just this morning after having stayed with us for the past few days!
I have been at St Andrew's since I was Deaconed Februrary 2008. The current Vicar has only been here 6 years, so it would have been a different one when you were here in '97.
Your emergent congregation sounds interesting. Has it a Eucharistic structure? Are you leading it?
Hope Easter planning is well advanced!!

Hi Chris - are you at St Jude's? How long have you been there?
I enjoyed listening to Ian Mobsby when he was in Melboyrne recently, so am looking forward to sharing and hearing from others who may have similar views, but also being challenged by those who have other ideas also!

A cordial and fraternal greetings Chris.
Thank you for your comment, I use an online translator, because I do not speak the English language. A bit of French only.
I am also interested in Anglicanism in relation to their development.

Yes, Chris, I am the very person from ABM days. I've recently heard about this network and it looks like "my kind of church". I'm pleased to be connected.
