Becky Garrison commented on Mike Angell's blog post Pilgrimage
"A book I highly recommend is "The Art of Pilgrimage." It really made the distinction for me clear between traveling as a tourist and making a pilgrimage."

What do you see as some of the biggest challenges facing Anglicans today?
I penned "Rising from the Ashes: Rethinking Church" to get the discussion going of what it means to be "the church" in the 21st century.
What do you see as some of the biggest opportunities for Anglicans today?
Tap into this global emerging spirit and direct one's energy into being the church instead of bickering over church politics.
What do you want Anglimergent to be? and what other Anglimergent resources, gatherings, activities or events would you find helpful for your ministry?
Focus on what does it mean to be "Anglican" and "Emerging" and focus on those resources that help build up this bridge.

Podcast featuring new UK and US Anglican voices

As part of the launch for my new book "Jesus Died for This?" (Zondervan, August 2010), I am launching a podcast featuring a number of voices who are featured in this book. This includes a number of US and UK Anglican voices that I thought might be of interest to some in Anglimergent. If you're interested, here's the link.

hope it's not being difficult to get a press pass for Lambeth ... I'm told you just need to be sponsored by a "credible" organization, whatever that means in "brit-speak" (not meaning to offend here!) If there's a way to be of help here on the ground - well almost ... let me know.

Of course you did! I read it in the book - no excuses but to say it was late ...
I'm living in England as I said but my sponsoring parish is/was Trinity in Santa Barbara of both Diana's and Nora Gallager's fame. I'm both a real time friend and Anglimergent friend of Anne Howard.
Re Lambeth - no one seems ready to commit to a gathering (at least yet) but I know we'll be there on July 21 and 22. Definitely time for more conversation about connecting.
