Andrew Jones is the master historian on all things emergent - I know he has talked about the history of the charismatic movement outside of the US before http://tallskinnykiwi.typepad.com/tallskinnykiwi/

Assume you saw Jonny's blog post citing this as a worship trick.

Any way we can get this book in the states?

Fabulous article, Becky. Now if only we can live in Brian McLaren's "transcend and include" Via Media that he describes in his EDOW presentation.

What do you see as some of the biggest challenges facing Anglicans today?
I penned "Rising from the Ashes: Rethinking Church" to get the discussion going of what it means to be "the church" in the 21st century.
What do you see as some of the biggest opportunities for Anglicans today?
Tap into this global emerging spirit and direct one's energy into being the church instead of bickering over church politics.
What do you want Anglimergent to be? and what other Anglimergent resources, gatherings, activities or events would you find helpful for your ministry?
Focus on what does it mean to be "Anglican" and "Emerging" and focus on those resources that help build up this bridge.

Thanks, Becky. I'll have to catch up on the conversation from Nadia. We missed you in Memphis. Nadia was brilliant in word and spirit. I was glad to simply observe and take it in on levels that I've not been able to do previously.

Hope you're well. It's a white Advent in Denver...

Hi,

I spoke to Brian this week and I hope to be at the conference. Mike King is here with me this weekend. Great time with him.

Becky,
hope it's not being difficult to get a press pass for Lambeth ... I'm told you just need to be sponsored by a "credible" organization, whatever that means in "brit-speak" (not meaning to offend here!) If there's a way to be of help here on the ground - well almost ... let me know.

Of course you did! I read it in the book - no excuses but to say it was late ...
I'm living in England as I said but my sponsoring parish is/was Trinity in Santa Barbara of both Diana's and Nora Gallager's fame. I'm both a real time friend and Anglimergent friend of Anne Howard.
Re Lambeth - no one seems ready to commit to a gathering (at least yet) but I know we'll be there on July 21 and 22. Definitely time for more conversation about connecting.
peace,

Have your read Diana Butler Bass?
