Ariel, I think that many of us traditionally look to Lambeth for guidance and dirrection from our Bishops on moral, liturgical, social, and church related issues. Recent history has shown that they have not been enough of one mind to be very clear about any of those issues. IT seems that this last conference was about prayer, listening, study, sharing, ecumenical dialogue, and openess to change and vision together. That changes alot how the bishops work together and perhaps even shows us a new way of doing work together in our communities and a new way to resolve our own infighing and conflicts by going back to our human, spiritual, and respectful ways of working with each other. As to Latin America.... I belive that the recent attitude of the Bishops especially taking into account the Ecumenical nature of Lameth have shown us that we need to be engaged not only on Anglican lines but also with other Christians. Catholics, Protestants, and Orthodox as we walk forward. No longer can we just work alone. That is a great lesson to learn! Thanks!
There is a CD version of the BAS available from the Anglican Book Centre in Toronto. We have been discussing how we put our liturgical resources on the Web, but this conversation has a bit more to go before we're ready to do so.
