Keep me in the loop if something is planned for TC in April!

Blessings. And prayers for Haiti. Be sure to visit ER-D.org to donate -- or give generously in this Sunday's special offering.

I think that would be a wonderful idea Dave! Maybe we can organize an ALT Worship Extravaganza. I know many of us are chomping at the bit to organize a worship service or 50 now that ArtPrize is over. I am looking forward to worshiping with all of you unconventional conventionists!

I am glad to see Grand Rapids area folks are meeting face to face. I remember the book "Megatrends" from a couple of decades ago describing the trend of high-tech / high-touch: even as our technology makes communication so much faster, we need in-person "high-touch" contacts as much or more than ever.
One of the tensions inherent in our diocesan life is the physical distance imposed by boundaries laid out in the days of railroads and steamships. As our transportation systems and ways of living have changed, our organizing has not. How about some kind of Anglimergent gathering in connection with Diocesan Convention in Traverse City (here in Petoskey we think of it as "down south") in April?

Well Barbara we are from several different GR parishes (St. Mark's, St. Andrew's, Grace and formerly of St. Paul's/Greenville). We have been meeting monthly since ArtPrize in October and before that we were meeting weekly in order to execute our interactive exhibit. Not everyone on this forum has been active in our gatherings, but I think that is due to the accidental nature of our formation rather than due to exclusion. Perhaps we need to be more intentional in our inclusive efforts and post gathering info for our little "Collective" next time we make plans?

Thanks, Everyone for your warm welcome! Do you all meet in person in GR from time to time? I hope to join in the conversation too! Where are each of you located, parish-wise? Many blessings to you all!

Another Grand Rapids welcome here, Barbara. I hope you will be able to join us in conversation one of these days. These are exhilarating times for our little Anglimergent group here. Blessings to you.

I second Nurya's warm greeting Barbara and her enthusiasm for Anglimergent conversation taking place in the Greater Grand Rapids Area. There is a very obvious interest in working together in a spirit of exploration seeking what fresh expressions of our faith we might find.

Welcome Barbara! We are grateful for your presence. The EDWM Anglimergent group has really taken off in the last year, with an in-person group happening in Grand Rapids that bonded over ArtPrize (see http://anglimergent.ning.com/profiles/blogs/anglimergents-in-western and http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=125213060177&ref=ts for more info, although the Facebook page isn't being updated regularly at this point while we figure out what we are doing next). It is hard to anticipate where this conversation will lead but it feels like good things are happening in this diocese, and we are blessed.

Hi All,

I'm new to Anglimergent--and really glad to see a EDWM contingent already here! Happy holy Advent to you all!
