EASTER 2009
Friends:
We had an absolutely astounding Easter Vigil Mass tonight. We celebrated with the tradition New Fire outside, lots of incense, the procession inside the church with the Paschal candle, the chanting of the Exultet, the lighting of the Paschal candle and the sharing of the light to everyone with candles. We heard the readings, prayed the Litany, and reaffirmed our Baptismal vows. We then moved into the Mass with incredible and inspiring music. We had guitars and piano. What an amazing synthesis of ancient-future worship!!!
So, I great you with the great Easter proclamation...
Alleluia! Christ is Risen!!!

We had a wonderful Easter Service. A lot of our regulars were out of town and we still had 26 people. Not bad for a parish that started less than two years ago with eleven people in a friend's living room. Although, I wish the person taking the photographs had taken some shots of the congregation. Still nice pictures though:
