A new Anglimergent multi-cultural community in Seattle's I.D. is in the brainstorming and discernment phase. We would like to invite you to join with us in prayer as we explore God's vision for us in the I.D.

In Christ,

How are things going with One Unity?
We've taken a break for summer 2009 in order to re-evaluate. I say "we", but by the end of spring it was only me. I'm considering some other programs for midweek that better correspond to our already growing demographics (multi-cultural families and refugees) instead of trying to target efforts at those who are not yet coming (18-35 year old singles/couples).

We'll see what happens. This is, afterall, a laboratory for Christian mission in a simultaneously global and local setting.
Great! what kind of multi-cultural families are showing up. I'm curious as to the mix of people in the I.D.
Examples of those coming to St. Peter's: Bhutanese (speaking Nepali), Karen (from Burma/Myanmar), and multi-ethnic families (young families or couples; one spouse usually caucasian and one not).

Other cultures present and easily apparent: Vietnamese, Somali, Eritrean, Chinese, Japanese, Phillipino, Indonesian, Latino (unsure which countries), African-American

I've undoubtedly missed any number of people groups, but these are the cultures I am keenly aware of.
Any news on this?
No. We've had more return for our efforts and focus
