Episcopalian vs. Episcopalian SHRED-OFF in the Diocese of Olympia
If your church circulates the e-newsletter Across the Diocese, you may have noticed that Church of the Redeemer in Kenmore, WA has issued an unusual invitation to gamers in the Diocese. A call to adventure. A CHALLENGE, if you will.
Churches in the Diocese are invited to send bands of gamers to SmiteFest: The Advent on Saturday, December 13th. There, they will be randomly paired with a band from another church to go head to head on Rock Band 2 in an EPISCOPALIAN VS. EPISCOPALIAN SHRED-OFF. The losing band agrees to attend the winning band's church within 30 days.
If you are a peaceful non-competitive sort, you are invited to come to SmiteFest and PLAY ANYWAY. In addition to Rock Band 2 we'll have Guitar Hero, Halo 3, Wii Sports, and space for free play if you want to bring your own portable gaming devices or laptops.
Admission is free, pizza is provided. Donations to Child's Play are encouraged.
