I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in getting together AT Lambeth ??? There is the opportunity to put together what they call a "Fringe Event" on or near the campus in Kent. However day&time "slots" are dependent on the bishops' (& spouses) plenaries and other engagements (ie a day in London). I'd suggest a casual evening after dinner.

Content is totally under our "control".

The cost is low (there's a room fee that covers insurance and you order and pay for the coffee/tea/biscuit service.

I'm in England and in touch with these organizers and willing to help get this started.

IS AnyOnE interested?? What days would people be around Canterbury??
Timing should be now bec booking forms need to go in as soon as possible.

Let me or Karen Ward know what you think is possible...

Stephani - I haven't heard about my press pass though I know they are very hard to get this year. As time is running out, I decided not to go to Lambeth. A family friend is trying to host a launch party for Rising from the Ashes and I hope to be there electronically. If that happens, I'll post a notice. I will be traveling to the UK though in 2009 at least once so I hope to connect with y'all then. Becky
Hi Becky and ALL re a Fringe Event,
sadly there wasn't any - enough - interest to hold any gathering formally; altho I'm sure informal things will (as they always) do happen!
And good news for me, but not for visiting ... I'll be moving back to TEC in August to become new rector of Trinity Church, Reno - www.trinityreno.org - and totally excited about it.
peace, -- Stefani
